On October 7th Bboy Shark, Bboy Azzam (Karim) and Pal was in Gaza for their annual trip to the strip, to teach the culture of HipHop and breaking to the kids displaced In refugee camps.
When all hell broke loose, the three brave Bboys decided to continue on their mission of teaching, to provide love, care, joy and hope for the children trapped in this madness.
Today the three young men are teaching the whole HipHop world community what this culture is all about: Peace, Love & Unity❤️
Karim, Shark & PAL are true heroes! and They need our backing!
- words from the crew:
Camps Breakerz Crew (CB Crew) is a dance team that was established in 2003 by a group of local youths to represent the Palestinian children and support them through the emotional and social struggles caused by the political turmoil around them by performing and teaching dance.
CB Crew helps the children of Gaza heal from trauma, express and understand their emotions. Moving to the rhythm helps them gain a feeling of existence and belonging, and gives hope and spreads awareness.
CB Crew's projects quickly caught international attention. They presented their projects and art abroad at festivals and events throughout Europe and the Middle East, giving a voice to the Palestinian people on the international stage.
How to do we use the donations?
CB Crew's school has been supported by volunteers and generous individuals, and has been self-managing and planning with great success. But to keep the school open and continue helping others, Camps Breakerz Crew needs your help to cover expenses such as:
Yearly renting for the school:
The school is under contract. We have to pay a yearly rent that would cost about $2000
Clothing:
At this time of year, winter is here. We would buy coats and blankets to our children and their families.
Shoes:
Our children sometimes dance barefoot due having a low family income. We plan on buying shoes to the students and others.
Prizes:
We reward our school students with t-shirts and toys when they learn challenging dance moves and when come with new moves.
