“from the river to the sea” RUNWAY WEEK. A funraiser week dedicated to Palestinian design, fashion, art, and contribution to culture. Every day from 27.AUG -31.AUG. The week will host various happenings at Baba Bar. The week is a collaboration effort initiated by Baba & organised by a core team of local & international designers, activists, artists, entrepreneurs, and Palestinians to create a 3rd space where Palestinian heritage meets innovation.

 All proceeds from this spleis go to Palestinian organisation Al Qaws, working for queer rights and protection in the civil society. Queer Palestinians are faced with even more violent oppression and persecution from more than one oppressor. Their work has been helping young queer Palestinians for two decades. During this week, we stand in solidarity with all parts of the Palestinian population, showing that all of our struggles are one struggle. We therefore urge & encourage you to share, attend, and support this event in order for us to make maximum impact financially.

OUR MISSION:

Our mission is to show up in solidarity with our Palestinians among us, but most of all, the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, who show up with “sumud” daily – steadfastness, for the liberation of Palestine. Their struggle continues to inspire art and artists worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with our palestinian brothers, sisters, and siblings. It is our responsibility as creators in the field not ONLY to stand up infront of injustice but ALSO continue the LEGACY of Palestinian presistence to exist through the cultural medium.
