🚢 The Fjord Freedom Project – Oslo’s Floating Cleanup Base

Let’s take back the fjord!

We’ve already pulled over 150 tonnes of waste out of the Oslofjord — but to keep fighting for a clean, living fjord, we need our own ship.

This 54-foot wooden beauty (Snow White) will become our floating headquarters — part cleanup vessel, part community centre, part sauna, and part gear base for divers, drones, and volunteers.

With it, we’ll:

♻️ Haul up heavy waste like boats, tyres, and cars.

🤿 Launch underwater drone searches — no waste will escape us.

🔥 Warm up after cleanups in a small onboard sauna.

🌊 Host events, talks, and volunteer meetups on deck.

We’re building something that gives us independence from bureaucracy — a vessel that lets us act fast, stay mobile, and keep Oslo’s fjord clean without waiting for permission. But it also gives us the opportunity to have a legally registered and fully functional boat that we can hopefully find a docking spot for, either at a private marina in Oslo, or to rent out some space with Oslo Havn along the central waterfront. 

Every krone goes directly to purchasing, restoring and outfitting the ship with winch systems, storage, safety gear, and a sauna.
