Today I am reaching out with a heart that feels both heavy and hopeful.

The person I love the most, Cecil, is currently fighting cancer. Since his diagnosis, life has been turned upside down. Our days are now filled with hospital appointments, pain and uncertainty, and we hold on to the hope that the treatment will bring healing.

He is currently undergoing daily radiation therapy, and it has taken a tremendous physical and emotional toll. Despite everything he is facing, he continues to fight with incredible courage.

What hurts the most is knowing that while he is fighting for his health, he is also struggling with the financial burden that comes with being unable to work and having his own company. They don’t have the same rules when they are sick. The cancer came very quickly, and he did not have time to take one insurance. No one should have to carry that weight while going through cancer treatment.

Asking for help is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, but today I am setting my pride aside because he truly needs it.
