Alba Pasta is working since 2 years to introduce on the market a real artisanal pasta made in Norway, by true Italian pastamakers and with Norwegian ingredients. Delicious and... environmentally friendly!
GLUTEN FREE PASTA is one of our key focus. We are incredibly proud of our buckwheat (bokhvete) pasta: tasty, with an amazing texture and ready in 2 mins (holding its shape!)

Why do we care so much? Part our family has a severe celiac disease and we are well aware of the quality of the products available here or else. With love and dedication we keep working to provide a real pasta to any carbo lover :blush:
What is the news? Norway hasn't a fresh pasta offer that is gluten free and MADE IN NORWAY. Almost 100% of fresh pasta, with our without gluten, is imported from Italy. In 2018 ca.16 MILLION kg pasta has been imported from Italy.
Why cant Norway have finally its own pasta brand?! Taking into account that raw materials are really good as well!
What are we going to do with this money? As of today we have a small lab where we produce and test both our gluten free and classic line, therefore with possible cross contaminations. Our plans for this year where to buy a new machine and create an indipendent "gluten free lab". Unfortunately 2020 is an annus horribilis and all the budget has been used to let our Italian catering survive (proudly running since 2017).
The money collected will be used to test our pasta in a professional lab to measure the % of gluten (traces) and finally call it safe for our beloved celiacs customers.
The product is safe for those with gluten intollerance and some have savored it... reactions where top! Dont believe me, just read!
