"Lykke Til" - narrative short film production in Norway & Hong Kong
The film is a narrative short film about a Hong Kong young woman, who’s struggling with her future in Norway, including her relationships with her girlfriend and her mother.
The story focuses on her anxieties between giving birth or having an abortion, and how to embrace freedom of sexual orientation in front of her parent who has very traditional family values.

Our production is seeking for traveling support for our three overseas staff as well as local transportation during three days of shooting in mid-December 2022.
In addition, we are looking for 2 houses outside of Oslo (2-3 hours by train) where 12 crew members can stay for 3 days. Let us know if you have a place, or know anyone who has a place, for us to rent/borrow as support!

Contracted Production in 17th Fresh Wave International Short Film Festival - Local Competition
The short film "Lykke Til'' is supported and copyright owned by the Fresh Wave Film Festival Limited. It will be screened at several Hong Kong cinemas in conjunction with the 17th Fresh Wave International Short Film Festival which will be held in June 2023. The film will then compete with 15 other short films in the Local Competition Section. The Awards Presentation Ceremony will be held in June 2023 and announce the awardees. Later, we’ll plan to show the short film in Norway. The production team are from Norway, Hong Kong, UK and Taiwan. We will start shooting in the middle of December this year.

Target Audience
We plan to hold a private screening for those who engage, support and spread our film in Oslo after the 17th Fresh Wave International Short Film Festival premiere if possible. One of the primary audience groups of the film is the Hong Kong immigrant group in Norway. There are an estimated 853 Hong Kongers living in Norway with an additional 257 Norwegian-born to Hong Kong parents, according to Statistics Norway as of March 2022. We hope this short film will share more about the life of Hong Kongers and its culture through Oslo Cinema.
