Nifrost’s Julekalender for Big

Hello everyone,

This year Renata Portelada and Haavard Tveito decided to merge forces to help a friend in need. Counting with the help of amazing artists friends, they are making this exhibition through Nifrost art gallery, the first virtual art gallery of Norway. All the funds will be donated to their friend Big 🥰. Big is a wise and smart man who came to Europe as a refugee, from Eritrea. He is now living in Germany. Despite his intelligence, love and wisdom, life haven't been treating him well. With a permanent knee injury that makes him endure a lot of pain, Big has problems to fit in the working market. Also Big was accepted as a refugee in Italy, a country that doesn't provide the language courses or a financial suppport like Nordic countries do. Renata and Haavard met him in Kristiansand during visits that he was paying to his cousin, Renata's best friend. It was love at first sight, the wise Big man gave them a lot of love, acceptance, advice and support. Nowadays even faraway they hold a very close contact, this love and friendship brings to both Renata and Haavard the benefit of the wisdom that Big can share.

For this reason, while seeing their friend in need for money to pay for his Italian passport, they decided to put this exhibition together. Both are extremely grateful for the friendship, so they are making this event in gratitude for the amazing person that Big is. But as good actions put good people together, they are also greatful for the artists that believed in the project and donated their amazing work for Nifrost.
