Christne is one of single parents in Burundi who live under the poverty line with her young children. To make matters worse, the  natural catastrophe as a results of climate change has washed away the home she has been living in with her children since her husband died. And everything they  depended on to live have been destroyed  by heavy rain. For single parents with young children  affected by natural catastrophe, they have to start a new life for their families from zero. Now  Christine and her children have no place to live and she has  reached  a crisis point, where her  existing coping mechanisms have proved inadequate and she need help to start a new life for her self and children. Any help you can provide is a  ticket for Christina and her children to start up again a normal everyday life.

Many families in Burundi live under the poverty line and are  struggling to cope with problems from Socio-economic issues, ill health to stress arising out of political divide. Add to that the responsibilities of caring for a young family and the stress become unbearable. In the worst scenarios, families reach a crisis point, where their existing coping mechanisms have proved inadequate and they are unable to care for their children who are then at risk of death, abuse and neglect.
