For første gang siden 2018 arrangeres det VM i Roller Derby og Team Norway trenger din hjelp! Våre spillere reiser fra både sør og nord av dette langstrakte landet og utlandet for å delta på treningssamlinger og hver en krone bidrar til å ta landslaget til VM i Innsbruck, Østerrike i juli 2025.

Roller derby er en rask og strategisk fullkontaktsport på rulleskøyter. Roller derby spilles på en oval bane på flatt gulv og poeng oppnås ved at en jammer fra hvert lag skal passere motspillere, blockere, samtidig som blockerne prøver å stoppe jammeren – og prøver å hjelpe sin egen jammer fram. Sporten krever både styrke, teknikk og god kommunikasjon mellom spillere.

Treningsgruppen til VM består av 25 norske spillere og spillere med norsk opprinnelse som bor i utlandet, samt et landslagsapparat bestående av totalt fem personer. Vi er dedikerte atleter som virkelig brenner for idretten vår og alt det roller derby står for: samhold, inkludering, åpenhet og toleranse. Vi er stolte av å representere Norge i en sport som er kjent for å være en del av et internasjonalt fellesskap som omfavner og feirer mangfold og har fokus på å skape et miljø der alle føler seg velkommen, verdsatt og støttet.

Support Team Norway Roller Derby and help us on the way to the World Cup in 2025!

For the first time since 2018, the WC in Roller Derby is being held and Team Norway needs your help! Our players travel from both the south and the north of this long country and even abroad to participate in training sessions, and every penny contributes to taking the national team to the WC in Innsbruck, Austria in July 2025.

Roller derby is a fast and strategic full-contact sport on roller skates. Roller derby is played on an oval track on a flat floor and points are scored by having a jammer (the one with the star on their helmet) from each team pass opponents (blockers) while the blockers try to stop the jammer - and try to help their own jammer forward. The sport requires both strength, technique and good communication between players.

The training group for the WC consists of 25 Norwegian players and players of Norwegian origin who live abroad, as well as a national team apparatus consisting of a total of 5 people. We are dedicated athletes who are truly passionate about our sport and everything that roller derby stands for: togetherness, inclusion, openness and tolerance. We are proud to represent Norway in a sport that is known for being part of an international community that embraces and celebrates diversity and is focused on creating an environment where everyone feels welcome, valued and supported.
