As more than 1,2 million people in Lebanon are displaced because of Israeli aggression, the funds we raise will go directly to activist-run initiatives by Haven for artists.

Haven for artists is a cultural feminist organization based in Beirut, Lebanon. They are currently distributing food and essential items to displaced people in schools and other places across Beirut.

The auction title is adapted from the poem “it was Beirut, all over again” by Lebanese poet, painter and activist Etel Adnan. In her 1990 poem, war-torn Beirut figures as the experience of despairing and mourning the world and its violence.

The auction is organized by the unofficial Norway-Lebanon friendship association in collaboration with activists and artists from Lebanon.
