Nelson (aka. Nelly) er en venn jeg gikk på skole med i 2016/17. I 2023 var Nelly i en alvorlig bussulykke hvor flere mistet livet. Han overlevde, men fikk alvorlige skader. Nå er det slik at Nelly trenger hjelp for å få økonomisk råd til å gjennomføre operasjonen og alt som følger. 

Les hans historie her: My name is Nelson Jackson Kagongo, I am currently living in Mwanza Tanzania. I am staying with my mother and I am the only child she has. I was a former student at hald international center  in Mandal Norway, From 2016 - 2017. 

Before the accident I was working as a tax driver. I used to get about 1000 nok every month. The money was small but I had to do the job because I couldn't find a good job at the moment. 

Last year around April I was traveling with bus from mwanza the city I am staying to another near town called Geita. I was going their to look for a job as a school bus driver at one of the schools there. 

I had accident on the way to Geita, were about 50 people and more in the bus, when we were on the way one of the bus tyres busted and the bus fell on the ground and 26 people died there including the driver. 

I was unconscious I had to be taken to mwanza because there wasn't a big hospital in Geita. For three days I was in coma in ICU, when I waked up from coma I was not able to stand up or sit in bed. Both my legs, hands and back were an able to move. After checkup the doctors sayed I broked my spine cord, one leg, and one hand.

Due to my problem the hospital in mwanza could not perform the surgery I needed. So they had to transfer me to our big city Dar es salaam in Muhimbili hospital the only big hospital in Tanzania, I stayed there in the hospital for 10 months and I did one surgery. 

I used about 50000 nok for the checkups, surgery and all treatments from the day I arrived in mwanza hospital to Muhimbili hospital the other hospital in Dar es salaam I was transferred to. All this costs came from my friends, family, and some of the people I know. I used to get very small salary I wasn't able to save much money,  all the  money I saved I used it during my treatment. The person I was working for he could not support me much and I have lost my job too. 

For now I need to do a checkup of the first surgery and to do a second surgery of spine cord, my leg and hand. Since I am an able to work, I lost my job and my mother was fully depending on me I have no other source of income. 

I need about 40000 nok in total to cover my second surgery, checkup and all other hospital treatment costs.
