I sommer drar vi til Arusha i Tanzania for å jobbe frivillig i én måned. Vi  skal arbeide gjennom "Workaway", en organisasjon som kobler frivillige over hele verden med verter som trenger hjelp i ulike prosjekter. Vi skal delta i et prosjekt som gir flere barn og ungdom muligheten til skolegang. I løpet av oppholdet skal vi blant annet jobbe som lærerassistenter, bidra til kvinnehelseprosjekter og hjelpe til med både drift og utbygging av en lokal skole. Mange av barna får ikke den hjelpen de trenger i det offentlige skolesystemet, og prosjektet gir dem ekstra undervisning, i tillegg leksehjelp etter skoletid. Vi ønsker å samle inn midler som går direkte til barna og skolen vi skal jobbe ved. Pengene vil blant annet bli brukt til skoleutstyr og undervisningsmateriell, hygienprodukter, seksualundervisning og utbygging og forbedring av skolelokalene. Vi setter pris på alle bidrag, store og små!

This summer, we are traveling to Arusha, Tanzania, to volunteer for one month.
We will be working through Workaway, an organization that connects volunteers from around the world with hosts in need of help with various projects. We’ll be participating in a project that gives more children and young people access to education. During our stay, we will assist as teaching aides, contribute to women’s health initiatives, and help with both the daily operations and the expansion of a local school. Many of the children do not receive the support they need from the public school system. This project offers them additional lessons and homework assistance after school hours. We are raising funds that will go directly to the children and the school we will be working at. The money will be used for school supplies and learning materials, hygiene products, sexual health education, and the expansion and improvement of school facilities. We greatly appreciate all contributions – big or small!
