On Sunday afternoon (17.08), our dear friend Solvei Stenslie lost her home together with all of her belongings. Her boat, which she had lived in for the last 6 years, burned down and is now completely uninhabitable and cannot be restored.

Solvei lost everything. What is left are the clothes she had on her and a small yellow backpack. Only a blackened passport was saved from the fire, and it too needs to be replaced.

All of her childhood belongings and sentimental items are gone. No clothes or shoes remain, while the winter season is approaching fast.

Solvei is an active musician, and now all of her instruments, the things she needs for her work, are gone: ukuleles, guitar, banjo, and more.  In this troubled time, she doesn’t even have the things that usually brought her comfort through tough times.

Please help our friend rebuild her life. Time and time again, Solvei has been an incredible friend to us, and now she needs the help of the community to get back on her feet. The effort she put into her boat, all the repairs and adjustments made to make it hers, and the sentimental value of the possessions she lost can never be restored, but we can help her start rebuilding her life from scratch.

We have reached our goal, but I will keep the Spleis running for a bit more in case someone still wants to donate. She does have an insurance so she will get the help from there as well. It may take some time though and we're not sure yet how much it will cover. Your contribution  help ease out the stress underway and help her with immediate costs.
