Today I have sent 150 dollars to Cruz children one last time. Since January 2024 when the accident happened I, people who contributed in this Spleis, and other people I know have helped to together send 150 dollars per month to Cruz' children.

He says that things are going better now, he is starting to walk a lot more lately and "terapia" (physical) is going well. I have told him that this is the last payment I can send, and that I hope that from now on he and his family will manage on their own again.

Thank you to everyone that has contributed, Cruz has said that he wouldt know what to do if it wasnt for this help he has recieved. Life is not so easy everywhere around the world.

Sent this today to Jaime in Cruz family, in Nicaragua, as he helps take care of the children. I hope that Cruz will be able to work soon again within a month or so, and be able to support his children himself again. I and everyone who contributed have done our part now by sending 3 x 150 dollars like I promised Cruz I would do when this happened. The last 150 dollars I paid for myself.

Hoping for a good rest of the recovery for Cruz. Thanks again to everyone that contributed to help Cruz and his children in this situation.

Note: in the video for some reason his camera inverts things as a mirror so it looks like its his left leg that is broken, and his right arm that was also broken/operated on. Never mind this. I have called him and seen this is not the case when doing live video, as also images before showed it the other way around.

Sent 170 dollars today to Jaime who watches over the kids, Cruz's family member in Nicaragua. One of the kids, the smallest was puking and having diarhea so they needed some medicines. Cruz was very worried.

I sendt 20 dollars extra out of my own pocket. And total of 170 upfront basically today. So next and last payment will be 150 dollars 15th of March. After that Cruz needs to take care of things himself again, and should have enough time until then to get well agian and back in work.

If anyone wants to help donate at the very end of the splice to my friend Cruz, today is the last day. As I said, Cruz has been in a motorcycle accident and cannot support his 3 children that he supports, now that he is unable to work for 2 months time. The aim is therefore to help him with that part, which is 150 dollars per month for 3 months in total. Many thanks to everyone who contributed. It is much appreciated <3

4 days left to fundraise for Cruz. We have so far secured the money needed to cover the first 2 months he is out of work, so that he will still be able to support his children. If anyone wants to contribute a little towards the end of the Spleis, so that the last month will also be possible to cover, it will be greatly appreciated ❤ Again, many thanks to everyone who has helped support my friend and his family so far ❤

Cruz sent a video of the situation now, and a few photos. It's been 21 days since he was in the motorcycle accident, and he is slowly but surely getting better. His kids have received support (upfront payment), for the first 30 days. The next payment will be sent 15th February to help cover food, diapers, and schooling/supplies.

Cruz says he has a little bit of pain in his hand but it's getting better and he can move his hand more now compared to before without too much pain. It's slowly but surely going in the right direction.

I and Cruz want to say thank you very much to everyone who has contributed to this fundraiser so far. Because of you, it has been possible for Cruz to still support his 3 children in one of the poorest countries in the world, Nicaragua, even though he has not been able to work right now due to the accident. We are also very thankful to the state of Costa Rica for paying for his medical expenses when this first happened, making the operations and recovery possible. We want to also thank his friend who is hosting him for now providing food and housing for free. Muchas gracias <3

Cruz will not be able to go back to work before in 3 months time confirms the doctor. Also when he does he will have to start slowly and be careful in the start. 

Cruz has an appointment with the doctor 8th of February for a follow up control, but everything is going well so far, and he is resting in the house of a friend who also helps in this situation.

Sent today 150 dollars to Cruz children, upfront out of pocket, to help cover schooling supplies, food, diapers, and other livings expenses for the 3 children for 1 month.

Cruz is feeling a bit better and is home at a friends place, they help take care of him for now with food and housing until he gets better. He can take off the black "cast-thing" to make sure his wounds are clean and such. 

We will send the first 150 dollars to his children on the 14th.

Cruz is now done with his hospital stay, all 3 operations are done, and has returned to his home to rest and start his recovery. 

He was not able to walk yet, not even with crutches, so he is using a wheelchair for now. So it is clear that the money in this fundraiser will be important to his children as he obviously will need some time now before he is back to normal and can walk and work again.

Cruz had 3 operations today, 2 in the right leg and one in the left arm. It seems they put some metal into his leg, and possibly his arm too. He has a lot of pain, and will now rest and start towards his recovery.

Since yesterday Cruz developed a cold in his throat from a cold aircon in the hospital he was in, in Puntarenas, and he had a fever last night and did feel quite unwell on top of what has happened to him already. He was sent to a hospital in the capital San Jose instead with ambulance, and is now feeling a bit better after getting some medicines. Feber seemst be down. 

We talked about when we should send the money from this Spleis, and agreed it would be best he receives the first 150 dollars to a family member in Nicaragua who helps take care of the children. His oldest daughter and his oldest son is starting school soon and will need to buy books and possibly pay some school tuitions. So I will send the first months 150 dollars on the 15th via Western Union to the family member.

His youngest son also needs money for diapers, milk, food, and such.

We hope Cruz will get the operation soon to start on his recovery as soon as possible.

Today Cruz told me he has a bit less pain, and he is just waiting now for the operation of his left broken arm and his right broken leg. The fractures are of the sort that needs operation, perhaps some metal in there but we dont know all those details yet. 

He is tired but at least he can rest in the hospital and he gets food there. 

Meanwhile almost all his family is in Nicaragua where he is from, and he has no friends with him in the hospital either. 

I keep contact with him through chat. Hopefully he can get the operation soon, and slowly start towards a 2-3 month recovery time.
